Cade Thompson “Every Step Of The Way” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST


SPONSOR: The Sponsor of the Contest is Red Street Records, LLC (“Red Street”), located at 2814 Dogwood Pl., Nashville, TN 37204.

INTRODUCTION. This “Cade Thompson ‘Every Step Of The Way’ OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST" (the "Contest") gives participants the opportunity to submit an edit of the music video, “Every Step Of The Way” (the “Music Video”), as recorded and performed by Red Street’s recording artist, Cade Thompson (“Artist”). The details of the prize and how to enter the Contest are contained in these Official Rules.

ELIGIBILITY. The Contest is open only to residents of the continental United States, the District of Columbia, and Alaska and Hawaii, (entries originating from any other jurisdiction are not eligible for entry) and who are at least 13 years of age or older at time of entry. Any entrant who is a minor in his/her jurisdiction of legal residence will be required to obtain the permission of his/her parent or legal guardian to participate in this Contest. Entrant must also have obtained all necessary permissions from anyone else featured in his/her Contestant Video, including permission from parents or legal guardians of minors including in such Contestant Video. No responsibility is assumed for any disputes which may arise among an entrant and any individual who may have a collective/creative interest in any Contestant Video in connection with this Contest. Such disputes will not be resolved by Red Street. In the event that any such dispute interferes with the operation of the Contest, the entrant(s) involved in the dispute may be disqualified, in Red Street’s sole discretion. THIS CONTEST IS VOID WHEREVER PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Employees of Red Street or its affiliates (including, but not limited to, Red Street Publishing, LLC [“Publisher”]), Artist, ReelWorks Studios, or the Judges (i.e., Jay DeMarcus, Rick Eldridge, Calvin Auband, Cade Thompson, collectively, the “Judges” and together with Red Street, Publisher and Artist, are collectively the “Sponsored Entities”) and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees' families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse, and life partners) to participate in this Contest. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the judges and Red Street, which shall be final, conclusive and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.

Each entrant (and the parent/legal guardian of any entrant who is a minor in his/her state of residence) may be required, and hereby agrees, to sign without additional compensation or other remuneration (a) an affidavit of eligibility and liability release to release the Sponsored Entities and their respective employees, from any and all liability, claims, demands and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, death, theft, loss, or any other harm suffered, arising from and/or in connection with, this Contest or the use or acceptance of any of promotional opportunities and/or prizes received, (b) except where prohibited, a promotional release granting the right to use his or her name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, (c) any relevant tax documentation, and (d) any further documents and/or agreements deemed necessary or desirable by any of the Sponsored Entities (collectively the “Contest Documents”). Entry into this Contest constitutes each entrant’s (including each potential Grand Prize Winner’s) agreement to sign such Contest Documents, including, without limitation, affidavit and release form(s). A potential Grand Prize Winner’s failure to timely sign and return any of the Contest Documents and/or any other documents as and when requested may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner without any liability on the part of any Sponsored Entity. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY ENTRANT WILL RESULT IN SUCH ENTRANT’S DISQUALIFICATION AS A POTENTIAL WINNER OF THIS CONTEST WITHOUT ANY LIABILITY ON THE PART OF ANY SPONSORED ENTITY. Prior to and as a condition precedent to receipt of a prize, Grand Prize Winner, and any other prize winner, is required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations and to execute an assignment agreement in a form and substance acceptable to Red Street, assigning all rights to Red Street.

HOW TO ENTER. To enter the Contest, during the Entry Period, as defined below, eligible participants must:

(i) fill out all the required fields on the Contest entry form located at (“the Website”) and download the “Red Street Assets” (defined below) to be entered into the Contest including, without limitation, electronically agreeing to the terms of these Officials Rules; and electronically agreeing to the terms of use of the Red Street Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and User Generated Content Agreement; and then follow the remaining online instructions. Incomplete or inaccurate entry forms are void;

(ii) edit your own version of the Music Video using the Red Street Assets and User Generated Content; and

(iii) submit your edited version of the Music Video (the "Contestant Video") via any of the following methods: (A) email to, or (B) mail to Cade Thompson “Every Step Of The Way” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST, c/o Red Street Records, LLC 2814 Dogwood Pl, Nashville, TN 37204 on DVD, or (C) upload your Contestant Video on Vimeo or YouTube (transmitting a copy of the digital edit file) through the Internet via the Website, or (D) post your video to Instagram using the hashtag “#cadethompsoncontest”. The instructions for uploading your Contestant Video are on the web page of the Website provided for the upload of your Contestant Video. Any Contestant Videos received by Red Street after December 31, 2020 will be automatically disqualified from the Contest. All Contestant Videos entered into the Contest must have come from an original master that meets one of the aforementioned acceptable three (3) formats. Any Contestant Videos sent to Red Street in a format other than the formats listed above will be disqualified. By doing the above, eligible entrants will be entered into the Contest and will each qualify as a participant ("Participant", “you” or “your”).

CONTEST DESCRIPTION AND TIMING: The Contest will consist of the Entry Period and the Judging Round, as follows:
("Entry Period") will run beginning 12:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time on Monday, October 19th, 2020 through 11:59 p.m. Central Daylight Time on December 31, 2020. During the Entry Period Participants may enter the Contest online as described above.

Judging Round ("Judging Round") Beginning on or about January 4, 2021, Red Street’s judges, in their discretion, will begin the selection of the Grand Prize Winner. The selection of the Grand Prize Winner will be based on the originality and the overall quality of each eligible Contestant Video based on the “Criteria” (as defined below). The Contestant Videos will be judged by Red Street’s judges, whose decision is final on all matters relating to the determination of the Grand Prize Winner. In addition to Red Street’s right to do so in its discretion, the judges will also be instructed to disqualify any entry and any Contestant Video that displays dangerous conduct, stunts or tricks, conduct that could lead to or shows physical injury, property damage or otherwise violates or is inconsistent with these Official Rules. The chosen Grand Prize Winner will not necessarily have the highest production value or be the most polished but, more importantly, will be judged on the Criteria and will need to be an innovative, original and cutting edge.

On or before February 1, 2021, Red Street will notify the Grand Prize Winner that their respective Contestant Video has been selected as the Grand Prize Video and that they are the potential winner in this Contest. On or before February 1, 2021, Red Street will notify the one or more entrants that have been selected as a finalist and that they are potential winners in the Contest. Red Street will also announce, online, the Grand Prize Winner, and the Runner-up winners. Please consult the Website before submitting your entry. All Participants must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements.

A potential winner may be requested to provide Red Street with proof that, among other things, he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry and will be required to furnish proof of, without limitation, eligibility (including, without limitation, proof of US residency, age, and all required Clearances) as a condition of receiving the Grand Prize or any other prize.

The potential winner must execute and return all Contest Documents, including, without limitation, an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability, User Generated Content Agreement and, where permitted, publicity release within two (2) days of notification. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected without any liability on the part of any Sponsored Entity. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner without any liability on the part of any Sponsored Entity.

PRIZING. Cade Thompson “Every Step Of The Way” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST will award one (1) grand prize package ("Grand Prize") as follows:


1) Music video reviewed and critiqued by an all-star panel of judges including, Christian music and Red Street Records recording artist CADE THOMPSON, JAY DEMARCUS of multi-platinum selling & award-winning country trio Rascal Flatts and Founder of Red Street Records, CALVIN AURAND, former VP of Content for Sony Music (producer and director for Beyonce, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, John Mayer, One Direction and Harry Styles), and veteran film producer RICK ELDRIGE (Bobby Jones, Stroke of Genius, The Ultimate Gift, Running The Sahara).

2) A national premiere of their music video with the support of multiple marketing and social media initiatives. Winner will be named as a “creator” of the Official Music Video for Every Step of the Way by Cade Thompson” in all credits and correspondence. This includes a national online premiere, announcement of winner through press release to mainstream and Christian media, visibility and promotion of music video on Cade Thompson’s social media channels as well as a front page posting on Red Street Records website and social channels.

3) A Zoom call with the judges to congratulate the winner and discuss their music video. Additionally, the judges will answer any questions regarding the winner’s video, the industry, and a career in film.

4) A virtual meeting with the artist, Cade Thompson via Zoom.

5) A virtual meeting with Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts via Zoom.

6) Red Street Records and Cade Thompson merchandise. This includes a Red Street Records backpack, t-shirt, hat, pop socket, as well as, Cade Thompson merchandise items for his radio singles Provider and Every Step of the Way. Autographed upon request.

7) Two (2) tickets and meet and greet passes to any Cade Thompson show during 2021. Travel not included.

8) A $1,000 Amazon Gift card

The total approximate retail value (the “ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $1,000. The ARV for the Grand Prize package is subject to change based on the then current market conditions at time of the prize fulfillment.

The aggregate ARV for the total prize packages associated with this Contest is $5,000.

All federal, state and local taxes related to each Prize package, is the sole responsibility of the respective Prize Winner. No refunds or credit for changes are allowed. No transfer of the prize is permitted. No substitution, transfer of any prize or cash alternative will be permitted, except by Red Street due to prize unavailability at time of award in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Unless otherwise specified in writing by Red Street, no cash will be awarded. Arrangements for the fulfillment of prizes will be made by Red Street.

CONTESTANT VIDEO REQUIREMENTS: Each Contestant Video must be wholly original, created solely by the applicable Participant using User Generated Content and the Red Street Assets and may not have been previously designed and such Participant must wholly-own all right title and interest, including without limitation, copyrights in and to such Contestant Video, without having granted at any time to any person or entity other than Red Street the right to use such Contestant Video. Each Contestant Video must not contain the trademarks, designs, copyrighted works or intellectual property of any third parties.

Contestant Videos will not be accepted or eligible if they contain content or material of any kind that violates or is inconsistent with these Official Rules, including, without limitation, any content that contains (or appears to contain):

(i) explicitly profane or obscene material;

(ii) endorsement (or condones) of illegal drug use, alcohol abuse or other illegal activity;

(iii) nudity, profanity, extreme or gratuitous violence;

(iv) language will be evaluated by Red Street based on context and societal acceptability;

(v) any express or implied commercial endorsement; any derogatory characterization of any person or group based on age, race, color, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, marital status, mental or physical disability, citizenship, creed, national origin, physical appearance, political affiliation, union membership, or other ethical or unlawful factors;

(vi) any unauthorized use of copyrighted or proprietary material, including, without limitation, the name, image, likeness and the like, trademarks or trade names of any other person, party or entity; or

(vii) depictions of any conduct, language or other context deemed inappropriate by Red Street or any of the Sponsored Entities.

Additionally, Red Street reserves the right to disqualify any Contestant Video that it deems, in its sole discretion, to be offensive or inappropriate. Contestant Videos will be judged based on the following criteria (the “Criteria”)

1. Editorial: How well the video edit supports the story/messaging of the song.
2. Effects: Use of technology to present the story and garner viewer attention.
3. Creativity: The uniqueness of the overall approach for the video. 4. Messaging: How well the video reinforces the lyrical message of the song.

The term “Red Street Assets” shall mean the videos, graphics, photographs and other content made available to Participants on the Website for use in creating the Contestant Videos. Participant hereby acknowledges and agrees that all Red Street Assets are owned exclusively and perpetually, throughout the universe, by Red Street. The term “User Generated Content” shall mean any creative work or materials created or used by any Participant, other than Red Street Assets, in creating the Contestant Videos. Participant hereby acknowledges and agrees that all User Generated Content shall be owned exclusively and perpetually, throughout the universe, by Red Street.

USE OF DATA and AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES. Red Street will be collecting personal data about Participants (including, without limitation, e-mail addresses) when Participants enter the Contest. By participating in the Contest, Participants hereby agree to all personal information uses and disclaimers as explained in Red Street’s Privacy Policy. Participation in the Contest further constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and Red Street’s Privacy Policy and willingness to be contacted by telephone and/or email.

Red Street shall have an irrevocable, perpetual, universe-wide, fully paid-up and royalty- free license to copy all Contestant Videos and to use, re-use, publish, and re-publish, and license others to use, re-use, publish and re-publish, such Contestant Videos in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other photographs or images, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised and for any purpose whatsoever, including, without limitation, for use on merchandise, for sale or other exploitation, throughout the universe (including, without limitation, illustration, promotion, advertising and trade), and to use the name of each Participant in connection therewith if Artist or Red Street so choose in their sole discretion or to refrain therefrom. Each entrant agrees that they will not be compensated for submitting any Contestant Videos or any commercial and/or other uses of said Contestant Video.

Past experience has confirmed that contests and other competitions generate substantially similar submissions or entries which closely resemble concepts and ideas that have been independently developed by Red Street or Artist before or after the Contest. Accordingly, entrants may subsequently see a Red Street or Artist or other presentation which seemingly incorporates an idea or concept or includes materials similar to that contained in their Contestant Video (including any User Generated Content). Any similarity is purely coincidental and unavoidable in light of the volume of ideas which Red Street routinely considers in the course of their content development. Because of this possibility, entrants hereby agree to submit their Contestant Video under the following terms and conditions: (i) that Artist and/or Red Street may use through any method, manner, mode or medium, now or hereafter known, any ideas, concepts, material, or expression in whole or in part, contained in a Contestant Videos (including, but not limited to, User Generated Content) or to refrain therefrom; (ii) that all materials (including, but not limited to, User Generated Content) submitted become the property of Red Street; (iii) entrants have obtained all rights, permissions and licenses necessary to use the Contestant Video (including, but not limited to, User Generated Content) for any purpose; (iv) that no Contestant Video, or any part thereof (including, but not limited to, User Generated Content), infringes any trademark or copyright or otherwise violates anyone’s right of privacy or publicity; (v) by submitting a Contestant Video, entrants consent to Red Street and/or Artist exhibiting such materials (or licensing other to exhibit the same) in all media in perpetuity; (vi) entrants indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsored Entities and their respective heirs, executors, assigns and designees from any claims, suits, losses damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that arise from any breach of these Official Rules or from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of such Contestant Videos, Red Street Assets, User Generated Content, or otherwise, including, without limitation, any claims for copyright or trademark infringement, defamation or invasion or privacy. Only Contestant Videos that are submitted in accordance with all applicable rules governing this Contest will be eligible for selection. All entrants agree to the foregoing and in addition agree to provide, upon request of Red Street and/or Artist, any documentation and releases necessary to prove their unrestricted ownership in all materials (including, but not limited to, User Generated Content) contained in their Contestant Video and Red Street’s and/or Artist’s right to use such materials without limitation for any purpose, without any compensation. Participants further agree to assign all right, title and interest in all material (including, but not limited to, User Generated Content) to Red Street and agree to sign such documentation as is necessary to evidence or carry out the interest of this assignment. Without limiting the foregoing, Participants acknowledge and agree that neither Red Street nor Artist nor any other Sponsored Entity is under any obligation to use any materials submitted by Participants in connection with the Contest, or otherwise.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Participants agree: (i) that their Contestant Videos may be used by Red Street and/or Artist in whole or in part for any purpose whatsoever without any compensation; and (ii) entry in the Contest constitutes Participant’s agreement and grant to Artist the exclusive, irrevocable right and license to exhibit, broadcast, copy, reproduce, encode, compress, encrypt, incorporate data into, edit, broadcast, rebroadcast, transmit, record, create derivative works of, and distribute the materials contained in their Contestant Video and/or any portions or excerpts thereof, and to grant others the right to do any and/or all of the same, in any manner, an unlimited number of times, in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity.

GENERAL CONDITIONS. The Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee and Participants in the Contest hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those laws, and without regard to Tennessee’s conflict of law principles, for any causes or controversies arising out of the Contest.

Each Participant waives any and all objections to jurisdiction and venue in these courts. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Contest may only be entered in or from the continental United States and the District of Columbia and entries originating from any other jurisdiction are not eligible for entry. Except where prohibited by law, Winner grants to Sponsor Entities (and its advertising agencies) and Sponsor Entities the right to use and publish Winner's photo, proper name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information and state in any media to promote the Sponsored Entities and the Contest without additional compensation.

By entering, Participants release and hold harmless the Sponsored Entities and their respective principals, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or receipt or use and/or misuse of any prize.

Red Street reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if fraud or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Contest as determined by Red Street in its sole discretion without liability on the part of any Sponsored Entity. Red Street’s decisions as to all matters related to administration of the Contest are final.

If, in Red Street’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non- electronic tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, Red Street reserves the right in its sole discretion to void any entries at issue (including disqualifying any individual who tampers with the entry process), and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, at any time without notice without any liability on the part of any Sponsored Entity. In the event of such cancellation, Red Street reserves the right to award the prize, in Red Street’s sole discretion, from all eligible entries received before the time of cancellation without liability on the part of any Sponsored Entity.

None of the Sponsored Entities assume any responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction of unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries. No Sponsored Entity shall be responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry received by Red Street on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Contest.


WINNERS LIST. For a copy of the Winner List or Official Rules, send a self addressed stamped envelope to: Red Street Records, LLC, 2814 Dogwood Pl, Nashville, TN 37204. Attention: Cade Thompson “Every Step Of The Way” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST." All requests must be received by February 15, 2020. Please note on the front left hand corner of your outer envelope that you are requesting the name of the "Winner". Vermont residents may omit return postage if requesting a set of Official Rules.
